HAPPY MFFFFCKIN 420 FOLKS! It’s officially been a year since I launched the Strain Fax website! While the strain database will remain a constantly growing and evolving resource, I couldn’t think of a better day than 4/20/24 (a palindrome) to share what I’ve been working on for the past few years with you all. Since I first started smoking I’ve been researching cannabis to better understand my relationship with it and in an attempt to consolidate over a decade’s worth of strain notes spread between my high school textbooks, composition books, notebooks, journals, sketchbooks and over 7,000 sticky notes; one day I put it all in an excel sheet and thus, the database was born.

Little did I know that excel sheet made just for me would grow to an IG page where I’d post reviews and strain info and then into a website that would lead me to conferences, consulting, judging, laboratories and training modules and more but I couldn’t be more grateful to be able to create a life out of the things I love. I often find myself at a loss of words with a heart of immense gratitude for this journey, the people I’ve met along the way and the plant that’s saved my life in more way & times than I can count.

The directory I’m launching today consists of 305/1586 strains I’m currently researching. I hope this will give you a deeper insight and understanding of strain genetics from our point of view and the ultimate long term goals and objectives of The Strain Fax.
